When I was a kid, I wanted to grow up to
be either a teacher or a writer. My
mother, a pragmatist, urged me to
choose teaching. “You’ll never get rich
teaching,” she said. “But if you become an
author, you’ll surely be poor.” So, I followed
Mom’s advice and became a teacher,
writing in my spare time. I’m currently working
on my first children’s book, War in the Wilds.
